Broadway Dinner Theater – American Musical Celebration

The Broadway Dinner Theatre in the Wisconsin Dells is the most recent of our projects.  Digita4u2 was brought in as a consultant in the early stages of the planning process.  Once the show concept was developed, Digital4u2 had the opportunity to design and program the newly designed lighting rig for the “American Musical Celebration”. 
The venue is a new state-of-the-art dinner theatre.  They  opened doors on July 21st, 2006.  This 700-seat dinner theatre offers something for both the young and young-at-heart.

The owners wanted to start out with a flexible yet basic lighting plot.  The final package included a mixture of ETC dimming, S4 leko’s and par’s, L&E cyc lights, colortran  fresnels, Chameleon LED curtain, Wybron Forerunners and High End Hog 1000 for control.

There is plenty of room to grow in this beautiful dinner theater.  Mainstage Lighting supplied the fixture package, did the electrical install and initial system turn on.
All of the design work was done off-site in WYSIWYG.  Mainstage provided us with the circuit information and positions.  We then got the digital AutoCAD, plan and elevation drawings.  All of this information was separated and then imported into WYSIWYG.  The information was then used to build a 3d model of the venue.  Drops, sets, and even LED curtains were added to the model and used to pre-program the presets and cue list.
Once our team got on-site, we started in on getting the practicals working on the scenic elements provided by The Gary Musick Company out of Nashville, TN.  Once that was completed the install team was finished and we went straight into the focus and programming.
The show is in auto pilot with audio sending a timecode to the Hog 1000.
The show is up and running and it has all the ingredients to be a huge success.
